2nd Annual Human Justice Gala - CCD

2nd Annual Human Justice Gala 2023 – CCD

Our 2nd Annual Human Justice Gala was held on February 24, 2023 at Nebula in New York. It was a night of elegance and acknowledgement for all our honorees and Human Justice Ambassadors. The annual Human Justice Gala provides an incredible opportunity to come together and acknowledge community leaders who serve Black, Brown and indigenous People of color in the most disenfranchised communities around the world. It was a night of great honor for prominent Black and Brown notable personalities who have relentlessly and selflessly organized, intervene and mentor, in order to build a racially equitable reality for communities of color. The highlight of the night was the announcement of various categories of Awards to the honorees by Executive Director K. Bain.

Aqeela Sherrills, a nationally recognized expert in victim services and Community based public safety, received the award of Dr. Divine Pryor Lifetime Achievement Awards, while Joe Ghartey of KNG Technologies, a renown tech expert who developed the Sustainable Growth Plan application for CCD, was honored with the International Human Justice Ambassador Award. Judge Lourdes Ventura received the Human Justice Judicial Award and Dr. Liza Chowdhury, Marla Bellamy, Connie Rhodes, Leonard Dungee, and Romania Dukes were individually honored with the Human Justice National Ambassador Awards.
