K. Bain is a Keynote Speaker on “Dismantling Structural Racism” in New Orleans

Our Executive Director, k. Bain Joins researchers, academicians and community leaders to speak on “Dismantling Structural racism” at the Robert Wood Johnson Foundation Interdisciplinary leaders’ program, led by University of Minnesota in New Orleans. This is a leadership forum that convene researchers, community leaders, advocates and organizers, using the power of applied research to inform and support critical intervention work being done in communities to advance Human Justice and equity. Our Executive Director gave his regular eloquent presentation, taking the audience down memory lane on the evolution of the Human Justice Network, highlighting the challenges and the remarkable achievements recorded. “By shifting the paradigm in the community”, Says k. Bain, “we
developed and implemented people-centered programs generated from the need assessments done in the community” Bain emphasized the need for consistent communication with community leaders and stakeholders to respond to the emerging needs of children, families and the community.
