President Joe Biden visits CCD
The year 2022 at CCD has been a very eventful one full of progress and remarkable achievements. We started the year in February with a call from the President of United States requesting to meet with our Executive Director, K. Bain and the CCD team in our New York office. The President visited our program sites and was overwhelmed with the impact our Human Justice programs are having in the Community. In his letter of commendation, President Biden acknowledged that “your efforts are changing lives and healing communities, including the extraordinary work CCD has done with the students and staff at the Jacob Blackwell School” He went further to re-affirm that “Community violence intervention programs work, and CCD will always have a partner in my administration”
