K. Bain Honored at ELMCOR Gala
CCD Executive Director
Our Executive Director K. Bain was an Honoree at the 2023 Elmcor Youth & Adult Activities annual fundraiser Gala. Elmcor has served as the bedrock for countless families and community members ensuring that young and adults in systemically disinvested neighborhood have access to services and support, they need for improved quality of life. By developing community centered initiatives in response to the critical issues that disproportionately impact Black and Brown communities of color, Elmcor has been innovative in their response to food insecurity, housing inequity and education opportunities for the youth to create a positive pathway for a successful future.
It was a night of glitz and glamor for Elmcor and the entire team as they gather to honor and acknowledge the remarkable leadership and accomplishments of our Executive Director and other honorees who have helped to fulfil the mission of the organization. Alongside K. Bain, Founder & Executive Director of CCD, other honorees are, Neighborhood Housing Services’ Executive Director Yoseline Genao Estrella, NBA Foundations’ Executive Director Greg Taylor, Resorts World NY’s Vice president of Community Development and Public Affairs Michelle Stoddart, Point 72 Assets Management and NY Mets Chief of Staff Michael Sullivan as well as a
Youth honoree Klcejuan Brown.
