Beyond the Bars Conference, New York- March 24th -26th, 2023
“Seeding justice” is the theme of the Beyond the Bars Conference 2023 organized by the Center for Justice at Columbia University in New York.
This forum brings together people, organizations, and movements working on indigenous peacemaking, Human and Healing Justice, to develop a platform for solidarity and build synergy to hold the unjust system accountable with the mission to transform and break all forms of barriers to achieve equity and justice in historically disinvested neighborhoods. Executive Director, K. Bain spoke passionately on the Human Justice Network and how CCD has shifted the paradigm by implementing programs that are people-centered, generated from the needs-assessment done in community historically impacted by systemic inequity.
