Women who Tell Our Stories

Women History Month is celebrated to honor the contributions and accomplishments of women to society throughout the course of history. This month of acknowledgment focuses on the remarkable impact of Black, Brown and indigenous women of color who helped to shape the course of American history, but whose names have often been buried and long forgotten. African-American women have been at the forefront of Civil rights advocacy, champions of racial equity, abolitionists, gender equality and several
progressive innovations to advance Human Justice.

In this special edition, we highlight a few notable historical Black women and their contemporary counterparts, who tell our stories with courage and dignity in the face of systemic barriers.
