Empowering Voices and Fostering Change: Recap of CCD’s Stakeholders Meeting at Astoria Houses

On Thursday, December 28th, at 1:30 p.m. Community Capacity Development’s (CCD) Team organized a Stakeholders Meeting at Astoria Houses, providing an open platform for the community to voice their opinions and contribute to positive transformations. The event was attended by Kevin Yao, Program Manager for DYCD, Marilyn Diaz, Vice President of Tenant’s Association Astoria Houses, community residents, and CCD’s Human Justice Ambassadors.

The dynamic Stakeholders Meeting served as a catalyst for empowering voices and fostering change within the Astoria Houses community. The gathering aimed to initiate an open dialogue about the goals for 2024 and set the stage for collaborative efforts to bring about positive transformations.

The First Monthly Stakeholders Meeting took place at 4-05 Astoria Blvd, Astoria NY 11102. The agenda for the meeting included a check-in and brief introduction, followed by discussions on CCD’s Mission & Values, the purpose of Monthly Stakeholder Meetings, community and personal goals for 2024, concerns/issues within the community, upcoming events, Q&A, an open floor for discussion, and an announcement about the next meeting in January 2024.
